Roret
In each episode, curious children Greta and Tamara are asked a new and challenging question about things that five-year-olds often ponder and that they do their utmost to find the answer to. To their aid, they have the brave and wise buddy, Sylvester the Bear, who jumps down the pipe to step into new worlds and adventures about everything from where the poo goes when flushing the toilet to why ice cream melts in the summer.
We at Studio Concrekt have been involved in developing the program together with our friends at Snowbird and Alaska. We have done the original design for Sylvester and set the entire visual concept as well as all the illustrations, animation and compositing.

Sylvester is born
When Alaska and Snowbird came to us to ask if we wanted to sketch an animated character for a potential children's program, we were of course very excited and excited.
At this early stage, there were really no thoughts about which figure we would use, and different animals came up with suggestions.
Andreas quickly found a style of bear that everyone liked very much and the first version of Sylvester was born.
He was at this stage redder and, moreover, quite harsh.
Brown Bear!
After an inital pitch, we received support from Svt to develop the project further and our focus was then entirely on developing
Sylvester and make him a character that one actually wanted to see explore everything from the body to space.
Pretty soon Sylvester got a much browner look and was restyled into something that was much more similar to the final result.
The pilot
Later we produced a pilot, however, it was with other children who were helped by Sylvester.
Sylvster's dialogue was still not particularly elaborate and he was considerably surer. The voice was done here by screenwriter Petter Bristav.
Green Light
When the project finally got a production decision, we did a major overhaul on Sylvester and he got his current color and style.
Early storyboard
This is the storyboard from episode 8 about garbage and recycling. All storyboards were done in-house with us at Konkrekt before filming.
Storyboards, and later on animatics, are what you could call the blue-print of what then will become the animated sequence.
Cel-animation
